Best Surfing Spots Near Jupiter, Florida
Living in the Jupiter, Florida area offers some outstanding surfing opportunities! While not as renowned as the likes of Cocoa Beach or Satellite Beach, Palm Beach County catches swells from the north that miss many other parts of the coast thanks to our location at the most eastern point of the Florida coastline.
Reef Road Surfing
Palm Beach’s Reef Road is home to some of the largest waves on the east coast. Waves are known to reach up to 15 feet and are considered by many to be some of the best in the state. This spot is best at low-mid tide, incoming with a north-to-northeast swell, creating long left-handers.
Juno Beach Surfing
The south side of the Juno Beach pier is another popular spot. This beach attracts swimmers, sunbathers, fishermen and sightseers alike. The iconic 990-foot pier helps create super consistent surf and presents a great vantage point if you’re looking to capture surfers with your lens. Juno is great for all experience levels and offers right and left breaks.
Jupiter Dog Beach Surfing
Just up the road from the Juno Beach Pier, at the end of Marcinski Road, you’ll find the Jupiter Dog Beach. This stretch offers left and right breaks, great no matter how you ride.
Jupiter Beach Surfing
Jupiter Beach, just south of the Jupiter Inlet offers up its best surf at low and mid tide. It’s more protected from the wind than most locations and the long coast, offering comfortable spectating. While there, just turn around to enjoy views of the famous Jupiter Lighthouse or watch boats barrel through the notorious Jupiter Inlet. Jupiter Beach has short-normal right and left breaks.
